Customer Reviews Michael Schenker Makes Other Guitarists Sound Rubbish Schenker deserves a Knighthood for the genius-level guitarwork and the sheer originality of the compositions of this CD. This album is gold-dust - I cannot say how thankful I am that I bought this album when I eventually found it via a friend. After the atmospheric intro track, it's straight into four stunning multi-layered riff/solo orgies of sheer talent. Then its another five tracks of greatness where the standard hardly drops any. The sound is more raw than a circular saw cutting glass. Schenker can actually make his guitar sound like World-War II weaponry just got plugged in to your hi-fi. Admittedly, since Michael plays drums and bass as well on this CD, the drums and bass are very basic. Believe me, though, it doesn't matter. Imagine the sheer opposite of pansy 'processed' guitar - say something like Gary Moore's 'thunder-claws' sound. Then tripple the rawness and shove the guitar right to the front of the mix and add four tons of testosterone - and it sounds as though Michael's actually playing right there in the room with you. Try starting with Welcome (Track 4) at full blast - it's like a Messerschmitt engine starting up and spitting fire at you. I give up - how can you describe Schenker's sound? It's exactly right - that's what it is. Somebody got rock guitar exactly right - and they didn't need any computers to do it. . michael schenker- guitar god com. After a very long time i found the odd trio at amazon. This is one of schenkers best cd's, absolutely great guitar solo's what will blow you away. Schenker is a top 3 guitarplayer togheter with satriani and malmsteen. This instrumental guitar cd is a must have cd for every guitar lover that likes to hear a great guitar player with a own unique style. Mr. Schenker Extraordinaire! In a world full of shredders and repetitive grunge guitarist's Michael Schenker is a breath of fresh air!(just be thankfull we still have musicians like him still recording)This disc is as good if not better than Adventures Of The Imagination and Dreams And Expressions. Stunning guitar work!Absolutely mind blowing!Never mind the reviews that criticize the drumming,believe me it does'nt matter. Michael is in my opinion one of the top five guitarist's on earth.
