acoustic guitar at its best
schenker is about as amazing on acoustic as
he is on electric,he is my hero of the guitar
and this is another great acoustic record, keep
on crankin michael!.

A little slower tempo than first two cd's
It has a little slower tempo than the first two thank you cd's. This is another very good thank you cd from micheal. My favorite tracks are 3 and 4. I suppose it's a little different than the first but is still somewhat in the same vein. I still think the first is best but this is a good addition.

Another great acoustic work out from Schenker.
Once again this is an all acoustic, all instrumental cd from the German guitar god. I have Thank You (1)and this compares to it terms of set up and delivery. The focus is on melody and atmosphere rather than the heavy riffing of Schenker's electric phases. There seems to be more up-tempo soloing on this than Thank You (1) and in general it flows at a nice pace without ever sounding new agey. Thank You 3 is 40 minutes long and by the end there is a slight same-ness to the playing that keeps it from being a 5 star rating (this is based solely on the fact that there is no other instrumentation other than acoustic guitars and not on the compositions). However, there is also a real intimacy to the album that makes it feel like Schenker could be there in your living room working out with an acoustic (there's also tons of rhythm playing behind the soloing- so maybe to complete the illusion, Rudolph is there playing acoustic rhythm with him, although on the CD it is all Michael).

This one is not hard rock. So, if that is what you like Schenker for, you may not have the same reaction to this as I did. However, if you like fantasic acoustic guitar playing, this one is very good. I can't really think of anything to compare it to other than some of Al DiMeola's 70's work (maybe Passion Grace and Fire, if any of you have heard that monster acoustic guitar album). However, Schenker is more rock based and is really creating some wonderful sounds. These Thank You albums and the electric Tales of the Imagination are some of the best guitar music being released these days. Thank You Michael.

Third Times The Best
The songs on this release are some of the best songs plugged or un-plugged he has ever done. Being a rabid fan of Michael Schenker I was glad to see a new disc from him, of the three "Thank You" discs this is the one to own. From the sound of this disc it seems that Mr. Schenker has been reborn his playing on this disc flows and sounds like he put everything into them. If you are looking for a place to start listening to him start with this one, you will not be disappointed.
