A must for any Bob fanYou get a lot of stuff here - a ton of songs plus some good ole Bob chitchat that is just, well. . Bob. If you don't like chatter before or after song tracks you may find that it gets annoying, but I thought it captured the essence of Bob live. Editing all of that out probably would have taken something way from his performance.
The audio quality is good. You do hear the audience participate between songs (again, there is that fun and sometimes awkward back and forth banter) but it's all endearing in that weird but fun Bob way. There are no real audience distractions while he sings - you know, the kind you sometimes find with small, die hard crowds such as this. You don't hear people singing along nor do you hear any that out of the blue hootin and hollerin. If there were any drunks present you can't tell by listening to this. Maybe they were all slapped into submission by Bob's awesome presence.
Despite the fact that it's just him and a guitar he also manages to keep the variety going. It never gets boring. On some songs (stand outs are Sugar King, Blauu) he manages to rock the beep out with that high level of energy, while on other songs (The World Exploded Into Love, Piggyback) he sings them as sweetly and as beautiful as they ever were. He covers a variety of songs both new and old (many fan favorites are included) so unless you just don't like acoustic stuff or live recordings this one is an obvious winner.
