Customer Reviews John Scofield meets Joe Lovano (again!) The quartet is completed by Dennis Irwin on bass and long-time Scofield collaborator, Bill Stewart on drums. This is yet another very pleasant collaboration between John Scofield and tenor sax player Joe Lovano. The other JSQ CD I have, featured Marc Johnson on bass but if you have that then you'll have a good idea what this album is all about. It's also very similar in vibe to 2002's ScoHoLoFo project "Oh!" - the other CD I have where Scofield and Lovano worked together, on this occasion with Dave Holland and Al Foster. All songs are, of course, written and produced by Scofield. The man's nothing short of a genius. . Joe Lovano is a nice plus... My favorite track is the opening one, "Little Walk", because it has an urban bluesy feel and is more structured than the rest of the album. This has some great guitar playing but its a little busy and not enough riffs for my taste. Some great sax playing by Joe Lovano is a nice plus. . One Great Album If you like Meant To Be, you must have this album. Sco couldn't have put together a better combination of musicians for this date. The musical exchange between Lovano and Stewart is magical throughout, but particularly on the tounge-in-cheek Camp-out. Sco's ballad Easy For You is one of the prettiest things I've ever heard. This album has everything a Scofield fan or a Lovano fan could want. .
