The Scorpions Second Most Commercially Successful Album In The US
The scorpions had a penchant for making catchy, radio-friendly metal a la Def Leppard, but their sound was a little edgier and I like them better. This came after their breakthrough album Blackout and enjoyed even more success than that classic. This album has 5 songs that became hits or concert classics including Rock You Like A Hurricane which is probably their all-time best-known song. From the first notes of Bad Boys Running Wild you know that it's going to be a fun listen. For those of us that went to high school at the time it will bring back memories as we probably owned this album back then also. Great record for new and old fans alike.

Don't expect the sound of early Scorpions here though. That was an almost different band altogether. This sound is more streamlined and less psychedelic.

The first...
"Rock You Like a Hurricane" is the biggest hit of their career at this point. The first Scorpions album to please the overall radio world. [Although "Blackout" (the album and the song) were hits with metal fans before this. ].


Kids, this is what rock sounds like!!
One of the few bands that could make songs that shred and also make ballads that didnt make you feel like a wuss for liking them. These tunes still rock as good as they did twenty some odd(!) years ago. I like the fact that they brought back the original cover also. i remember when it came out the p. m. r. c went bat shiznit crazy over it (and not in a good way) and got it pulled off the shelves. my how times have changed. Add this one to your ipod if you love rock, you wont be sorry! .

And "Rock You Like a Hurricane". Contains the best rock ballad ever, "Still Loving You".
