Scorpions still rock!! To be honest I was surprised Scorpions were still around(shame on me)
okay, I'll admit I got into Scorpions a little late (Savage Amusement) which I played over and over on cassette, and I thought Crazy World was awsome, but after that I lost track of them, got married had kids ect. After hearing the song Humanity I was blown away!! I really dig that melodious rock sound. This album was like a breath of fresh air for me, after the grunge decade and the likes of Korn and other such garbage dominating the music scene. Klause vocals sound as good as ever, I am very happy with this album. Now, if only Whitesnake would put out another album. . . . . . . Oh wait!
I can't speak for the kids, but if you're thirty something and like good rock n roll with lyrics you can understand while listening, you owe it to yourself to buy this one. .
The almost reunion.....
I'm a Scorps fan since the beginnning, particularly the Uli Jon Roth era. I'll start off by saying its a solid cd, worth having. Roth and Michael Schenker were supposed to appear on this, but it didnt work out due to scheduling conflicts. They have managed to do some touring together though, which is great for the fans. Other than Eye to Eye, which was just about awful, Scorps tend to deliver some good rock on a regular basis. No exception here, and the concept idea works. .
Scorpions' best release since Crazy World if not best one ever
Scorpions reinvent themselves here with new updated sound which is darker and heavier while keeping the melodies softer when songs call for it,without being cheesy. This is my favourite Scorpions album up to date.
The band sounds really good with thundering drum work of James Kottak and bass guitar Pawel Maciwoda, heavy and melodic guitars by Mathhias Jabs and Rudy Schenker while Klaus Meine vocals stay flawless.
Songs Hour 1,Game of Life,The Cross and title track Humanity stand out,but there is no fillers here, every song is amazing.
Well done Scorpions!
Looking forward to Humanity Hour II.
Another Masterpiece
Klaus Mein's voice continues to reach hieghts no one can cover while Mathias and Rudolph blaze the spectrums with their powerful guitars yet bring tranquility to the smooth balads giving the band that perfect balance. The Scorpions released yet another awesome album. Kotak maintains his percussion perfection while Palo's bass proves him worthy of a second album. I feel blessed to have followed the band for over 25 years and get just as excited each and every tour to California.
THE SCORPIONS ROCK ON !!!
These tracks are full of power, passion and meaning - everything I love about music and unfortunately something that has been lost in popular music of today. The Scorpions stay true to their roots, I admire the Scorpions artistic courage. Hats off to the Scorpions for giving us music lovers some new music to listen to thats "worth listening to"! Humanity Hour 1 is an album I will NEVER get tired of listening to. BRING US MORE SCORPIONS TO THE MUSIC INDUSTRY.
