The Scorpions 3rd Album
Starting with 1982s Blackout they became a well-known success story and their earlier stuff is easily forgotten. The scorpions are best remembered for their hair metal output of the 80s. Early Scorpions was just as good or better though and In Trance is no exception. Their lead guitarist at the time, Ulrich Roth, had a more Hendrix-meets-Zeppelin style of playing and he came up with some of the best guitar work in the Scorpions career. Their early material was slightly less catchy than later releases and thus didn't enjoy the same popularity. Hardcore Scorpions fans know this era of their career well and most prefer the Uli Roth years. In Trance is not without its share of classic Scorpions songs. Highlights include:

Dark Lady
In Trance
Top Of The Bill
Living And Dying
Robot Man
Evening Wind

Highly Recommended to fans of hard rock
.

in trance
it got lost, but i always missed it,this was the first scorpians lp i ever owned you can bet i won't miss it anymore.

grab this one

The guitar solos are quite incredible, and the vocals. In Trance shows signs of the Scorpions headed for commercial success, but thankfully, the songwriting hasn't yet suffered which easily separates THIS album from Virgin Killer. . . WOW, they are mostly short, snappy, melodic and get me in the mood to. . . be extremely violent! haha, only kidding. Violence never settles anything.

THIS is a fine example of an album that just rips your speakers apart and keeps you begging for more when it's over because the music the band was making at the time was just *so good*. In Trance is a must have album for all hard rock fans of the 70's. .

Great Early Scorpions
Not yet the sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll band of the late '70s and early '80s, this album is more on the psychadelic edge with the title song and also more dramatic with 'Living and Dying. 1975 gem from the Scorpions. ' Another good one is 'Dark Lady. ' Moodier and more melancholic, this is still a great classic by the Scorpions.

I just couldn't get into In Trance
I worked my way backward in the band's catalog starting with Love At First Sting. I'm a HUGE fan of the Scorpions with Matthais Jabbs. Blackout and Lovedrive are great albums, and I love World Wide Live. I couldn't get into In Trance, and I really tried to. It's lacking the energy and shredder guitar solos and melodies of the late 70s and 80s material.
