Breakout Seeger
The disk opens with a classic rock anthem, " Rock and Roll Never Forgets". This is a breakout disk for Bob Seeger, that elevated him above his prior fame as Detroit rocker, and into the national spotlight. Seeger showcases his blue eyed soul on "The Night Moves" a tale of love long lost. " Fire Down Below" is another passionate rocker. "Sunspot Baby" is another catchy Seeger pop song about love lost. "Main Street" paints a poignant picture of Seeger's view of the hometown. "Come to Poppa" is a balls out rocker with strong guitar riff, written by Bob Seger and Earl Randle. This disk ends with "Mary Lou" a classic Seeger tune with a great pop riff. This disk was one of the great releases of 1976, and the tunes still stand up 30 plus years later.


Bob Seger Night Moves
This one is one of Bob's best ever. Had to replace my Night Moves CD. Night Moves, Mainstreet, Come to Poppa, Ship of Fools are some of my favorites. Good Stuff. .

Seger's Studio Masterpiece


Opener "Rock and Roll Never Forgets," is a true rock anthem and one that, with Seger now over 60 years of age, rings as true as ever, as is "The Fire Down Below," which comes in as one of my two or three favorite Seger songs. A stunningly strong album from Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band, Night Moves is a non-stop rock n' roll party.

Title track "Night Moves" demonstrates Seger's amazing songwriting skills, as does "Sunburst," which really helps to fill out an album.

"Sunspot Baby" is really a treat. . . a stripped down rock song that's irresistibly fun, as is the bands version of "Come to Poppa. "

A great album, from a rock legend and great American story-teller!.
