"Nobody Knows It But You've Got a Secret Smile and you use it only for me" :)
I have since discovered that there are three different versions available of it and this is the one I like the best. I'm about eight years late catching up with this song, but the moment I heard it I fell in love with it. I ALSO love "Singing In My Sleep" a great song about discovering a cassette some young woman had made and falling in love with her based on her taste in music. . . As someone who loved to make cassettes of my favorite songs for my friends in the 80's I can really latch on to this one, plus the hook and the musicianship are excellent. "Secret Smile" is in a class by itself. It's one of the most engaging and lovely songs I've ever heard. It has a gentle magical quality to it that draws me in and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Currently "our song" for my lovely boyfriend and I, I can't say enough good things about the track or Dan Wilson's writing ability. I have not yet watched the video. . . I really should do, but I tend to keep this little ep in my car and play it over and over again.


Semisonics new single is just as good if not better
The Music Video Is just as good as the rest of them. First they brought us The Prize next Down In Flames Then FNT soon after If I Run, Closing Time, Singing In My Sleep and now another classic Secret Smile. I love this song. It reminds me of when I heard of Semisonic.


Excellent all except...
I pop it in my player listen to the nice reworking of Singin in My Sleep, the wonderful take on Take Me With You, in addition to the title track. I loved the original song, so I jumped at the chance to buy the single, especially when I heard about the video being on the disc. The video. My friend loves it, but no matter how many times I watch I just can't get a grip on it. Not classic for content, but for camp. If you love Dan and the boys you'll love the single and the vid.
