good tracks from a great band but..... The problem with buying this album is that you miss out on the other fantastic work that Semisonic did. Semisonic fans and non-fans that find this album won't be dissappointed with the tracks they find. And since their musical library is relatively small compared to some other artists, why not spend a few more bucks and buy all of Semisonic's albums.
In chronological order, they are Pleasure-EP, Great Divide, Feeling Strangely Fine, and All About Chemistry. While you're at it, grab Dan Wilson's Free Life. It's equally fantastic.
Great band, great record!
I've been a great fan of "Secret Simle" (still am) but after buying the CD I've discovered many more songs. . I've rated with 4 stars 'cause 5 is for perfection :).
May closing time never come for SemiSonic
That's all I have to say. I have never heard this group before but they are fantastic.
Real Masters!!
I was right about getting it. I went out and got this album the next day it was out. I havn't read any reviews or listened to any too; i just saw the track list and i was sure i am about to get on of the best albums out. It is nothing but a collection of thier experiance in the previous 4 albums.
It really have the best of each album, making it an all hit album, though they havnt won any awards for thier songs, exept for a grammy nomination for "Closing time".
I gurantee you will love all the 12 songs of the album, and will addicte atleast 10 of them.
