Shakira at her best

The album is an amazing work of art. In my opinion, this is Shakira's best album by far. The composition is beautiful, the lyrics are original and moving, and Shakira's voice is superb.

One of the best latin rock/pop albums of all time.

Ciega Sordomuda
Inevitable
Tu
Moscas en la casa.

Old School
The songs on here are really energetic and uplifting. This is one of Shakira's best albums. I love them all, but the songs No creo and Octavio Dia sound much better on her MTV Unplugged album. Besides that, I recommend it, especially if your'e looking for old school Shakira.

Her Best
The CD is very well produced, while each song offers(for the most part)something different. Very melodic and upbeat; She sings with and incredible passion and range here; Her vocals have never sounded more powerful. I love the combination of traditional instruments w/techno beats, the layers of horns and background vocals; I'm not a huge fan of her material after this album aside from a song here or there. But this is one of those albums I can play front to back, no problem. .

Shakira at her absolute best!!!
I bought this after hearing "Octavo Dia" a while back and desired to get a taste. Where do I begin? This has to be Shakira's absolute best CD and probably her greatest effort. This was the first Shakira album I ever bought and I have never gone back since. I fell instantly in love, and it requires no skipping ahead. In fact, next to "Pies Descalzos", this is probably the only album by anyone that I can actually stand hearing without moving ahead to hear other songs. Of course, I could easily pick favorites, such as the rocking tunes of "Si Te Vas" and "Dónde Están los Ladrones?", and the slightly softer "Inevitable" - which was probably the first Shakira song I ever heard. Another one of the best ones found here is the Arabic-inspired "Ojos Asi" of her Lebanese side, which I actually never listened to until a bit after I got the album. . . but yet another amazement. If only there was some way to give this a 5. 5/5 I would.
