Customer Reviews Slipknot at their best These guys know how to make what they do best, thats music people, music!! This album has such a mature side of nine fellow friends full of talent, if not, why are they so acclaimed?? I probably say this in every review from rock bands, People grow!! don't expect someone to sing about hate and death for 30 years straight! Bands grow as they go down the road, as well as they get physically tired and worn out, not to forget, they get sentimental with the way life has treated them individually, so they put on a new side of them on a new album, please dont say crap about that!! Put yourself in their feet and tour for years, play every day and youll see eventually youll grow mature and will have the urge to make a different kind of you in your music. . Anyway this album is by far the best this band has done in their career!!!! Great instrumentals, great voice, equals great talent!!! For those wanting more of the old slipknot, get ready, next year they are preparing to hit back with a new album!!!!! sounding more like IOWA and It's has even been told that maybe-maybe, they won't use their masks to it. . . I say maybe cause some sources contradict this statement, back to Subliminal verses------- Get it, It's a powerful masterpiece in music's book, as well as in the band's!!!!!!. Decent album with some cool bonuses My only advice is wait till the price drops to about 18 dollars. I liked it and you probably will too if you are a Slipknot fan. I paid roughly 22 bucks which is 4 dollars too much in my opinion. My logic for this? Lets just say there are only about 18 good tracks and at a dollar a track. . . well you do the math. . Worth the price for the bonus disc alone! I dithered and never really did anything about it until a Slipknot CD entered my gold box selections on Amazon one day. I can't say I've always been a huge Slipknot fan, but I really liked the version of Vermilion I heard on the Resident Evil 2 soundtrack, so I figured I'd track it down (no pun intended). It was actually "Iowa", but after checking it out along with the various other offerings, I decided I'd really rather have this disc. Couldn't be happier with my choice. Before when I was pissed, I'd throw on some Rage Against the Machine or Tool or Nightwish or Opeth - now, it's all about Slipknot. Haven't had another CD in since I got it. In fact, 'Danger - Keep Away' reminds me a lot of something I'd hear from Opeth, and I'm also really hung up on 'Duality'. Of course, 'Vermilion' was what I bought it for (vocals remind me of [. . . ]), but I enjoy all three versions on this 2 disc set. The different remixes and the live tracks fromt the 2nd disc help to showcase their range - which, I must admit, I didn't think was this good. I sold them short, and I shouldn't have.
