Customer Reviews good mixes 1979 is one of my favorite pumpkin songs, and I got this cd a long time ago when it initially came out. I have to say that I love this remix cd. I searched far and wide for it, and was thrilled when I found it, took it home, popped it into my CD player and rocked out. These remixes are really great. The Vocal Mix is a dance version of 1979, but don't be scared!! Listen to the audio clip that Amazon. com provides, its really awesome. The Instrumental Mix is simply the Vocal Mix minus. . well vocals. The Moby Mix is another favorite, it totally deconstructed the song and made it really trippy, but listenable! Great single, and worth the price!!!. Buy it for the Moby Mix The song doesn't sound much like the original, but is a great song for that reason. This is one of the better Smashing Pumpkins remix CDs, if not the best, which may not be saying much, but it's worth its price and more just for the Moby Mix. I'm a huge Smashing Pumpkins fan, and 1979 has always been one of my favorite songs. The other mixes aren't bad either, certainly not offensive like remixes have a tendency to be. Other people seem to really enjoy the first track, but give the Moby Mix a few good listens to relax, zone out, or my favorite: Play Little Nemo Dream Master for Nintendo - I can't explain it but me and a few of my friends love playing that game with this song on repeat playing. An excellent remix The best one would have to be the Vocal Mix. This disc is an excellent example of how to do a remix of an equally excellent song. The other songs may sound very little like the original 1979, but they retain just enough to make them worth the purchase. A must buy for any diehard Pumpkin fan. .
