Bruce at his best!
As soon as I saw the concert, I had to get the CD. I have always loved Bruce Springsteen and randomly caught this on television one day. It is not your typical Springsteen-it definitely has more of a folk feel than he normally does. However, his arrangements of the traditional songs (When the Saints Go Marching In, This Little Light of Mine, Erie Canal, etc. ) are creative. All the musicians in the sessions band are excellent. And, as a musician, I appreciate the fact that there's a great variety of instruments featured: guitar, piano, organ, violin, trumpet, trombone, banjo and more. He lets these musicians truly shine as well-this album is definitely about Bruce Springsteen AND the sessions band. The DVD is also well-made and full of energy. It brings everything to life and is just a lot of fun to watch. HIGHLY recommended to round out anyone's Springsteen collection-or general music collection, for that matter. .

a fun time
It's fun and folksy but not boring or simplistic. The Live in Dublin CD was a great purchase. High energy and new/old music. We listened to it
at least 3 times through on the first day and it was a great accompaniment to a festive family gathering.


The best Springsteen I have ever enjoyed
He plays with an amazing collection of very talented musicians and the play list is incredible. I have always loved Bruce Springsteen and his various bands, but this concert in Dublin is his finest work. The audio quality and video production is fantastic. I cannot say enough about this DVD/CD. . . . the best.


Fun!
It is lively foot stooping music with lots of good songs and sounds. I enjoyed this album very much. While I like Bruce Springsteen's music, I am not a big fan. However, this album is different; it gets the feet moving. I like all the songs, but I keep finding myself going back to listen to Further On (Up the Road). Highly recommended.
