Styx - 21st Century Live Audio CD
A fair review of the Styx "21st Century Live" Audio CD. Please note that the below review is the views of the authors, and authors only. You can get a complete list of all

Styx tabs.
Cover BandIf you want to hear Styx buy "Return to Paradise", Stay away from this cover band ripoff by Shaw and Young.
For Die-Hard Styx fans only
I mean Styx will never be the same without Dennis DeYoung. Because die-hards are really the only ones who would understand this CD/DVD it really is rather good. But if you listen to this CD you realize that they can still rock. Unlike Foreigner. I've seen these guys live and they are still great. Whoever says they stink doesn't know what they're talking about. This is a great CD/DVD to have if your a huge Styx fan. So if you're a Styx fan that knows every song buy this today.
Repackaged RIP-OFF
Most of the DVD side is already found on Arch Allies, the rest is the same old stuff done again, and again. I got this from my local library and glad I didnt pay for it. . . . . . . . . . .
Save your $$$$$.
anymore styx stinks!
Half the time they're skimpy only offering around 10 songs, and many of the biggest hits are absent. You'd think buy know that Styx would get tired of releasing a live album every couple of months. Reo should ditch Styx and tour with Journey instead, at least Reo and Journey can still rock, and at least they put out new products worth buying. It's about time Styx called it quits, they used to be good, but know they're just staying around to long.
Lacluster CD/DVD Masters One Thing...
This CD/DVD combo was cool. The fact that since Dennis DeYoung exited the band, they're amazing ability to recycle live performances and studio hits is astounding. It's nice to have something like this come out, but the track listing is suprisingly dull.
For the CD part. . The following songs are avaliable on another album already.
It's called, Styx World: Live 2001
Rearrange the songs and you have CD 1 of this "work of art"
The DVD was interesting. . . Actually it was nice, because yes it does contain 4 songs from Sty & REO Speedwagon in St. Louis. .
BUT IT Contains a song not seen on the "Arch Allies" DVD, Everything Is Cool.
Plus. .
Kiss Your Ass Goodbye, A Criminal Mind, These Are The Times and Yes I Can are all new. . .
But they're from the new Styx CD, Cyclorama. . Although I really don't find the new CD appealing, this is perfect for the fan who really doesnt collect like I do.
This is all based around my personal fandom, owning every album, many rare vynil records, and having seen and met them many times.
The one thing that made this not worth the money, was the overall cost for something I've already been able to purchase before, and already own. . .
The Booklet, thin as can be has who the band is. . a picture of the band in the middle, and credits. . . .
Unfortunatley it is something for few people, or hardcore collectors like myself. .
I would highly reccomend the new Come Sail Away anthology tho. . . it's the best Styx release in 5 years.
