Best Sublime Album
Good mix of Ska, Reggae, and Punk Rock. By far the best album ever put out by sublime. Catchy bass rifts with awesome guitar solos. If your just starting to get into Sublime I would recommend this as a good album to start with, even more than their Greatest Hits album.
Bout 26 oz are free
Still, the amount and variety with which Sublime debuted their reggae-rock-ska-rap sound still shines through on the majority of this debut, undoubtedly signifying the oncoming of a special talent that was sadly extinguished way too soon. 3 1/2
Definitely one of those adolescent classics that helps through high school, this potential adult classic is sidetracked by some repetitious fatty compositions that could have been trimmed. .
awesome!!!!
Quick fast and awesome thanx a lot u have no idea how hard it was finding this item.
classic album
to freedom has become a classic album for punk rockers, hip hop fans, and those of us who like ska and reggae. 40 oz. it paved the way for dozens of other bands in all of these genres. ask most any accomplished musician from the 90's on who their influences are, you'll probably hear alot about sublime. bradley nowell was a great songwriter, had an amazing voice, but these are both traits that are not uncommon in the music world. the difference with sublime is twofold. first, bradley had the ability to improvise with his own music, he regularly changed lyrics at will, it seemed almost effortlessly. the second strength of sublime is their innate ability to blend multiple types of music into one big happy mix. In the case of sublime, this produced a sound copied by many but mastered by very, very few. this is their first studio album which became a cult hit in the long beach area with the help of kroq radio. now that it has been discovered by the masses, it is unfortunately to late. do yourself a favor and buy this album, you will not regret it.
