Very Pleasing 2!!!
There were a few lesser known songs (for the casual fan), but all very good. If you like James Taylor, you will like this CD! It has many of his biggest hits and together with his Greatest Hits CD, you will have almost all of his very best stuff! The recordings and song arrangement were good, making for a pleasant listening experience. We only wish this CD had included a few more songs. We liked it, very glad we purchased this! .

Great CD
Honestly, I haven't followed his career as closely over more recently so some of the songs on this CD are not as familiar to me as the songs from earlier in his career, which I enjoy more. As a long, long time James Taylor fan, I've had his greatest hits volume 1 CD for years and years. However, overall, the CD is well worth owning for any James Taylor fan that doesn't have the songs already from his many individual albums.

What can I say?
Some of the best music on this CD. Who doesn't like a little James now and then.

"It's Good, but where is (insert favorite song here)"?
There are undoubtedly great songs dwelling on the albums these songs are culled from, waiting to be discovered by the adventurous consumer who is willing to drop a few extra clams for the album experience. Greatest hits packages are not designed for the hardcore fan, period.

Greatest Hits CDs are exactly that: the best selling singles from an artists career bundled together at a low price for the casual fan. This and Vol. 1 together are a great start to discovering your favorite "deep cuts" like "Traffic Jam", or "Gaia" (two of my faves).
I'm going to buy an extra copy and send it to James Blunt. .

A Great Follow to Greatest Hits 1
It is a truly amazing artist who can have a greatest hits album so early in his career anyway. Greatest Hits 1 has been a best seller since the mid 1970s. Greatest Hits 1 is a must-have. Greatest Hits 2, along with "Very Best of James Taylor," is another great album. It gives you some of the best songs from albums introduced after Greatest Hits 1 was released, but I do not know how they managed to narrow down this list of songs. Mr. Taylor really needs a Greatest Hits 3 and 4. Good buy.
