Customer Review Missing You My friends and I were planning to attend his concert in Tennessee the day we heard he had died. I have loved Johnnie's music every since iI was introduced to it in the early 70's. There have been a many slow grinds off of Johnnie's music. I watched a friend break down to her knees and tears flowed forever off of his song It Don't hurt me like it use to. His son Floyd came to Muscle Shoals, AL and packed the house. I can only imagine how Mrs. Taylor feels. Could you imagine coming home and knowing that your man was Johnnie Taylor? Johnnie was a crooner. My crooner. And I miss him dearly.
