Tears For Fears Professional camerawork, clean sound, very watchable. Very good show, if just a bit short. The CD is also first-class. Movie is in PAL format, so you'll need a player that can handle it if you live in NTSC-land. Will play fine in a computer.
The greatest disappointment
I am also a huge fan of concert DVDs. I am a huge fan of TFF. The only performance worse than this is the so-called Beach Boys concert from a few years ago. Orzabal is spot on, and his vocal talent remains second to none. On the other hand, Curt Smith looks & sounds like a musician with an acquired brain injury. . . frequently off the beat or off-key. I had to turn it off after about 10 minutes. There is so much good stuff available, how did they think they could get away with such an uninspired project? If you want a nice contrast, watch it back-to-back with the Depeche Mode Touring the Angel DVD - now that's a concert worth filming! .
Excellent Show
Roland and Curt haven't lost a step!. If you are a TFF fan, this is a great concert that blends the old and the new material.
MUST BUY FOR FANS
If you are a fan of Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith, do buy this. This live recording has restored my faith and love in TFF. The CD alone is worth it for the concert quality performance (they are amazing live), but the DVD makes it even better. HIGHGLY RECOMMENDED AND WORTH THE PRICE.
Definitely worth the money!
I've always felt the 14 years between The Seeds of Love and Everybody Loves A Happy Ending were "wasted". I've been a Tears For Fears fan since the beginning and I was gutted when they broke up in 1990.
I am so glad some official video surfaced of the ELAHE tour. I saw them here in Vegas twice on that tour and they were just as fabulous as ever. This Paris show is great, just wish there was more of it. Personally this DVD is worth it just to hear Roland speak French.
Amazon needs to fix the tracklisting though, the song is "Call Me Mellow" not "Fellow"
Anyway, a superb job. They sound super live and should not be missed.
