Customer Reviews essential classic rock he could rock it or jazz it up. alvin lee is obviously one of the most exciting guitarists ever to grace rock. his band kept pace with his delirious style. but he waas also a great understater. with so much talent, he would only give you glimpses, in a manner similar to eric clapton. he only breaks out on occasion. i have not heard the other ten years after cd. but this is a great compilation. one of the best classic rock cds you can buy. Unsung Heroes After hearing this album I can see why. I read somewhere that when Hendrix saw Alvin lee playing (With TYA) at Woodstock, he was 'Just a little bit Jealous'. As a band, TYA are the amongst the great unsung heroes of the era. If you're into the sixties, get into this. A good overview of Ten Years Afters' catalogue. It's basically a greatest hits package. This CD contains all the better Ten Years After songs. A good sampler for those unfamiliar with TYA and a nice collection for those who are familiar with Alvin and the band. .
