This is Testament
Testament is an awesome group and their sound (no matter who's playing) is unlike any other band. This is a great disc. When you hear a track you know its Testament. Unfortunately some of their discs have been robbed of the production they deserve, especially their older discs. This is a great addition to any Testament fans collection or for someone that's new to their music. I think adding Steve Souza to a couple of the tracks was a good addition as well. I highly recommend this one!.

Holy $h##
Would be a fantastic starting point for anyone unfamiliar with Testament. Buy it now! Every track is heavier and more brutal than the originals. Perfectly preserves the energy of the originals with awesome (modern)production and some of the most crushing riffs ever written. First Strike More Deadly Than Ever! .

new life in to the old
but redone entirly. this is really great the old favorites rerecorded( not remixed, rehashed or added to). they brought back alex sckolnick and Steve desousa for back ups and a song. testament still holding steve/ bass and the return of john tepesta on drums. this is a cd to buy they change practically nothing in the songs but used new technologies to up date the old stock. they seamed to use some new tuning to update also ( HEAVY ).
great cd If you like the original legacy/new order this will chrush the old stuff. I think this type of rereleasing/rerecording of songs over of old matterial should be manditory especially pre 1990. If I had my way I would put that in their contract 2 cd set of rerecorded hits instead of the greatest hits that companies seam to force they to do. this is a must have!.

What an awesome collection!
Alex is back and kicking major butt. All the Classics are here and re-done in the modern technology that's available. The production on this cd is of the utmost high quality, you never heard these songs sound so loud and strong. My original cd's sound like tin cans playing compared to this awesome sound! do yourself a favor and buy this . . . . NOW !!!.

Awesome!!!!!!!!!!
The newer sounding versions are cleaner and tighter than ever before and it really comes through here. Yes my friends this is Testament done right. It's tamer somewhat as the overall speed has been slightly tweak to allow for a groovier feel. As we grow older we tend to look back at stuff and realize that speed isn't always the way to go. The boys have obviously done their homework here and the results prove that. The vast majority of the tunes have been slowed somewhat, but it's the mid parts of songs that were once just speed fests that have been almost cut in half that really bring these classics to life. The result is that these old favorites sound and feel thousand times better than the originals.

Truly an awesome listen for those of us who are into intense grooves and fantastic musicianship. The songs selections are fantastic and the overall vibe is top notch.

As one reviewer said, "it's headbanging heaven" .
