Easy to enjoy I can listen to all ten songs non-stop. I enjoy listening to this album from Theory of a Deadman. Honorable mentions go to "Nothing Could Come Between Us," "Make Up Your Mind," "Point to Prove," and "The Last Song. " These four songs have become my favorites from this band. The music in general may not sound very original, and the songs themselves may not sound very distinctive between one another, but I don't seem to mind. This is a very good CD, period.
SIMPLY AMAZING!
However, this is not the case with T. In a world full of endless Linkin Park songs, many modern rock albums tend to follow the same line of thought,(three power chords repeated to politically motivated lyrics). O. A. D. If you are looking for one of the most unique and entertaining rock albums then look no further. This album boasts the bands' first 10 songs, all of which have their own unique sound and personality. Simply put, this first run-around with T. O. A. D. is one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had with modern rock, countless others have praised this bands style and with good reason. If you are looking for something away from the norm then get this album,it will leave you breathless.
"Deadman are Alive"
Tyler Connolly seems to be a writing machine like Chad a big influence on the band, but Deadman has their own sound as well with great ballad's and heavy riffs hard rock songs with outstanding vocals. Wow- how have I missed this band for the past 6 years, these guys smoke, with a classic lead and rhythm guitar line up you get blown away at many of their power cord onslaught of cords " Just a huge wall of Sound", yes they sound similar to Nickelback and Chad Kreigor produced and cowrote their first CD but that fine with me and most Deadman fans. Dean Back on bass is soilid, and David Brenner is Tylers wall of cords and and rythm really good stuff all of it. . . . . . . . . Ejoy
Robert Stahl.
Review of Theory of a Deadman
The only issue is there are only 10 songs, otherwise I would have rated it 5 stars. Overall this CD is very good. If you like Nickelback then you will love this CD.
Another great Canadian Export
This was their first album which I purchased the day it came out. From the woods of Vancouver comes Theory of a Deadman. I still play it often, and the songs do not get old. From the opening track "Invisible Man" to the closing track "Confession", this group blends modern rock with an occasional "southern rock" twist.
Highlights: Make Up Your Mind-nice song about relationships that some of us can relate to
The Last Song-Melodic, slow, cruncy, epic
Invisible Man-fast opener, gets the blood going
Nothing Could Come Between Us-radio friendly, glad it was, may not have found them otherwise.
A nice album to have for fans of modern rock.
