Customer Reviews Therion....Russia?....anyway. It is true that Therion is an exceptional band. . I think you would be doing yourself a favor picking up any Therion cd that you can get your hands on. . . . But they are Swedish, Not Russian. Anyway, Just pick up anyone of their cd's old or new. . . you'll see for yourself. Be careful what you read in rewiews! But such an absurd that they are "native to Russia"??? It's to much. THERION is an exeptional band. It is like saying, that BEATLES are native to Pakistan. Anyway, the music of THERION will blow you away! Enjoy. Siren of the Woods Sailing across many diverse genres, this band has become critically acclaimed in it's native Russia, being most often compared to composer Richard Wagner, famous for his unique arrangements. Perhaps one of the most progressive bands in modern music, Therion combines a full string section, chior, and a trio of alto sopranos in lead. As seen here, Therion demonstrate both skill and emotion with their music, leaving the listener musically satiated, while diverging from the constrains of any one archetype.
