One of the best albums ever made Everyone interviewed panned this album claiming it was one of the worst albums they did. I just watched a documentary on Thin Lizzy. I was so pissed that I felt compelled to come here and do a review. I have listened to this album THOUSANDS of times. Often through headphones. I am a huge Thin Lizzy fan and this is one of the best albums ever made. Don't let anyone tell you different. You NEED this album. Trust me. I have been listening to Thin Lizzy since their first album came out. . 3.5 stars "Renegade" continues this approach, at points, a combination of heavy riffs and somewhat softer vocals, at least in the beginning. Man, does this album get off to a great start! "Angel of Death" kicks off what seems to be a thoroughly grittier Lizzy sound in great fashion, showing that they've taken their proto-metal approach and have added to it some of the metal that they themselves inspired. All together, this album seems a clear step toward the sound they find on their final album, Thunder and Lightning. It's a harsher Lizzy, and a more aggressive Lizzy, to be found on these last few albums, and they're fully successful in doing so. Excellent! They were playing it, and although I am not a fan of hard rock, I loved it. I came across this CD by chance in a records' shop in Madrid, my hometown. An incredible CD ! Listen to it and enyoy it!. Renegade Underrated!! / T& L Overrated!!!!! This album is great. . with the exception of maybe "Fats", this is a sold effort. . . . true, some of the songs may not generally flow together, but this is not a concept album! Look at it as a collection of songs. . . . . . . and certainly some stronger songs make up for the weaker ones. . . . . . . . certainly It's Getting Dangerous is one of Phil's best efforts. . . . . . . . . The Thunder and Lightning album?. . . . . . with the exception of Sun Goes Down, it just sounds like another bland 80's metal album. . . . . definitely not on par with their earlier efforts and not this one. the second with Snowy White I like this cd too much, Angel of death, hollywood, this cd is too great, the sound is very good, you must have this cd!.
