Phenominal Live Album!!
I bought it on vinyl when it first came out. This easily ranks up there with the greatest live albums of all time. Phil Lynott has one of the most unique voices in rock, ever! Oh, and he can play bass ok, too. Thin Lizzy has always had amazing energy on stage and this just proves it. My faves are "Holy War" (great bass riff) and "Cold Sweat" (amazing guitar solo). But the whole album is just pure Lizzy energy. I am so happy they were able to get everybody together before the untimely death of Lynott in 1986 (The rock & roll lifestyle finally caught up with him). If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

the ultimate concert
Here you will listen all guitar players of thin lizzy, is the "Adios" of Phil, great concert , la consapevolezza di Phil di abbandonare la band è veramente triste!
Is very sad think about the tragic death of this great musician.

Awesome ending for Thin Lizzy!
If you are a fan of Thin Lizzy, then you must own Live and Dangerous AND Life Live, period. It is always interesting to hear the "other side" from certain reviewers, and just goes to show how personal music is and can be. Live/Dangerous is from 1978 and has the band in top form ripping through the songs, but I would venture to say in a more "hard rock" vein. Life/Live has the band showing its more "metallic" sound. I believe that both are excellent. Life/Live also has every major guitarist come back for the final show, and there is just no end to the wailing, rocking, shredding guitar on this! I believe the sound is totally passable, I had it on vinyl, then got it on cd, years ago, don't know if they ever improved on it. If you don't know Thin Lizzy, then I would probably say to get Live/Dangerous, and if you like it, then try out Life/Live. cheers. .

DISAPPOINTING, BUT ENJOYABLE!!!
I gave it a listen & I guess I'm somewhere in the middle. I LOVE Thin Lizzy!!!!! I recently heard "Dangerous Live" & was left charged up & excited like I had been at the arena! Therefore, I was surprised at the mixed & negative reviews on this one. I agree that it doesn't match up to the afore-mentioned "Dangerous Live". The main thing is the sound quality. Even before I heard the first one remastered, I was amazed at the reproduction. It sounded like there were no studio overdubs, yet it was as clear as a studio album. This one sounds almost like a bootleg. The guitars sound as if they're cranked too high, & you can hear the feedback. Also, on "Thunder & Lightning", Phil sounds as if he's screaming his lungs out & it almost sounds like Lemmy. However, I'm not saying this isn't enjoyable or worth having BY ANY MEANS!!!!!!!!! I guess the best way to put it is like this: If you're a casual listener & only want a taste of what their concerts were like, DEFINITELY get "Dangerous Live" FIRST!! But, if you've heard that & can't get enough live "Lizzy", or you're a diehard & are undecided about this album, I'd get it. Just don't expect this to be more than what it is.

Awesome Live album, great introduction to the band
There are many highlights here. This has been a cd I have owned for a while and I always come back to it. . . buy it and you will love it!.
