rob crow! i have liked every single song rob crow has ever been involved with. . he is a musical genious! i suggest buying anything with his name on it. Beautiful. Songs are as addictive as an advertising jingle. It is tragic that people cannot get this album right now because the label is out of stock. It will follow you throughout the day. You will hum it, whistle it, maybe even flat out sing it. And the fact that every hour of your waking life is saturated with it will be nothing but a distinct, and oft repeated, pleasure. They really are magnificent. Thingy is the greatest band in the world. The music is tight and utterly utterly original. They did not give me enough stars to properly relate the power, humor, sadness and joy that Rob Crow and Elea Tenuda impart in their singing. If you call yourself a music fan, and haven't listened to Thingy, or the first effort by Rob and Elea, Heavy Vegetable, or any of the dozens of solo works by Rob, then you are a liar. These people are doing the best work in American music today, period. Funny angry and majestic, sadly introspective and wildly intransigent. I'm running out of things to say. Go to a record store, yell at someone to get you "Songs about angels evil and running aroundon fire" or "staring contest" or heavy vegetable's "frisbee" "the amazing undersea adventures of aquakitty and friends" "mondo aqua kitty" or Rob Crow's "Lactose adept" and "optigonally yours". unrivalled and constantly evolviing, these albums, though representing only a small part of the bands total output, are the closest to perfection i've come in music.
