QuestionI would really appreciate if someone could explain what are the titles of the bonus tracks or extra songs. . . . . . is it new girl??? im really intrigued. that all.
Nothing to be Blue About.
People who only liked Third Eye Blind for the pop sounds on the first album (such as "Semi-Charmed Life" and "Jumper") may not be satisfied with "Blue. Third Eye Blind's sophomore release is a worthy follow up to their multi-platinum 1997 debut. " But for classic and alternative rock fans, this album is a breath of fresh air in a rock industry dominated by pop, rap, and hip hop. The lone pop song on the album is "Never Let You Go", while good rock tracks include "Anything," "Wounded," "An Ode to Maybe" "Camouflage," and my personal favorite "1000 Julys. " The only weak point of the album is the censorship of the ballad "Slow Motion. " After hearing the uncut version of the song, the censored version is clearly inferior. Overall, this is one of the best albums I've ever listened to. Third Eye Blind has nothing to be Blue about.
3eb/Blue Review
The music is alive, and the words of each song seem to jump out and grab the listener. Blue is an extension of the lyrical extravaganza Stephan Jenkins displayed in the first self- titled album. Jenkins throws in a few words that may make some people uneasy, but there is an urgency in his voice as he sings the very true to life words of each track. For those of you who are being newly introduced to Third Eye Blind, both albums are worth listening to - this is a talented band, with a powerful lyricist as lead vocal.
Buy it!
It's not exactly like their debut--it has more of a loud rock than pop sound, and there aren't as many quiet songs as there were on the first one. This is an awesome album! If you are a 3eb fan, or even if you aren't, get this album! It is a very worthy purchase. However, it is equally good. There are some really great tracks, such as "Anything," "Wounded," "Deep Inside of You," "Never Let You Go," and "1000 Julys. " It is a great balance between pop and rock music and between loud, upbeat, jarring songs and slow, more melodious and pretty-sounding songs. Altogether, the music is passionate and filled with complex lyrics that define Third Eye Blind as a great group! I highly recommend this album!.
Not the greatest, but great!
The first album was no doubt a hit with tracks including Semi-Charmed life and Hows it going to be, while the second is a bit more upbeat. Third Eye Blind's new release "Blue" is a great Cd and I recommend it to anyone with the first so you can compare the two. It has more of a uplifing air about it as opposed to the down key of the first. It is still an exellent cd, but if you were into their first album and the tone of it, you may not truly respect the second and for those of us who are true 3eb fans and do, thats not fair. I do recommend buying it and to find the Third Eye Blind in you!.
