Customer Reviews A Great Collection of B. J. Thomas Songs/Hits For B J Thomas Fans BJ rocketed to stardom with his recording of "Hooked on a Feeling" back in 1968. This CD album is a collection of B J Thomas hit songs. He had the first number one hit of the 70s when he recorded the Burt Bacharach & Hal David song "Raindrops Are Fallin On My Head," which was the featured song of the movie "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford. He later recorded "Everybody's Out of Town," plus scores of other songs. He's got a crooning style and vocal quality unequaled and unsurpassed. As I said, if you're a BJ Thomas fan, you'll enjoy this or any of his other albums or his DVD -- "Best of B. J. Thomas Live" -- you're lookin' good, B. J. -- and still soundin' great! A native son of Hugo, Oklahoma (where he was born) and of the Houston, Texas area, where he grew up, B. J. has a country-western vocal style that is also reminiscent of a lot of British rock-n-rollers. He's reportedly still very popular (and very much loved) in Australia, as well as in England, in Latin American countries and in the USA and Canada. . Great collection! The only knock on this cd is that some of the songs have audible tape hiss which has been a problem with some of his other hits collections. This is a great collection of BJ Thomas's hits, 24 of them. Still, it's well worthwhile to listen to and is the best collection I've heard of of his recordings, especially the earlier ones. I was able to purchase a new copy at a lower price than Amazon's listed price from the other sellers links. I just can't help believing this is the best compilation of BJ Thomas's hits. .
