Awesome.
Thorogood is a blues/rock n roll master and this album is one of his best! Awesome songs, insane guitar work and of course lonesome George.


His best album!
Those three albums were rock solid! Not one single "throw-away", partly because they were all standards except for the lone original "Bad To The Bone". I had "Move It On Over" and "Better Than The Rest" on cassette tape long before "Bad To The Bone" came out. He had the guitar playing talent, the "two-stroke, air-cooled" vocal chords and the good sense to pick such good covers that nobody cared if he wrote them or not. Not since Joe Cocker, has an artist "owned" sombody elses songs like George! What a coincidence that his first self-penned song went on to be his signature hit. GET THIS ALBUM. P. S. How do we get Rounder Records to release "Better Then The Rest" on CD?.


Taking Rock Back To Its Roots
"Move It On Over" and "Who Do You Love?" got all the airplay on rock radio, but even better was a cover of Chuck Berry's "It Wasn't Me", which really rocked harder than anything this side of Ted Nugent. Along with his self-titled debut album, George Thorogood's second one, MOVE IT ON OVER, helped to bring rock & roll back to its roots. If you buy this album and the first one, you're off to a good start at getting to know George Thorogood.


It wasn't me


While 'Move it on over' seemed to get all the radio play, 'It wasn't me' became our theme song in the dorm that year. I was in college when this was released on vinyl and bought it right away.

George is still touring and if you get the chance to see him you should, he is still doing great shows (I got to see him a few years back for the first time live)!.


a rockin good time
basically if you like rock you must own this,its just good honest raw rock and blues and in the words of george "we got the good time music and the bo diddley beat" now tell me who do you love ?. well this was certainly no sophmore slump for george thorogood,in fact he expands upon his first album and rocks even harder tracks like who do you love, cocaine blues,move it on over all cook and when he starts on that slide doing elmore james cover "hawaiian boogie and sky is crying" i cant help but dance.
