George Stretches Out I like pretty much everything he's done, but this one is special to me. If your a fan of George's basic blues based boogie, this may not be an album for you.
Not a great departure, but songs like The Usual, Living With The Shades Pulled Down, Dog Can't Bark, and Stoop Down put George's signature sound on unusual material (for him). You'll get a chuckle as George hams it up on "Jail Bait". As much as I enjoy his usual fare, I wish he'd do albums like this more often.
George gets mellow
No, there are not a lot of rockers or bluesy numbers here. One of my favorite Thorogood albums to listen to. For the most part it is honky tonk with a nice mellow buzz. It's just a nice relaxed album that lends itself towards a little whiskey sipping.
