A Reminder on Greatness
Live performances were TDN's greatest asset and the recordings pulled from the vaults should remind people how great this band really was. The release of this album is indeed a reason to celebrate. The original lineup, with Chuck Negron singing songs he was meant to sing, shows why this band deserves to be in the rock and roll hall of fame.

This album makes one beg the guys to get Chuck back together with Danny and Cory and do the kind of music they are capable of.

The band is tight, the vocals are awesome and the arrangements of these songs that made these songs THEIR songs has to bring people back to what this group was to the music scene in the early 70's. Three Dog Night IS the chemistry between Chuck Negron, Cory Wells and Danny Hutton. You take away just one of these ingredients and it lessens the group as we have seen over the past several years. They still have great potential to move out of the oldies scene to being a viable group once again. All they have to do is get all together again.


Great Playing, Great Songs, Great Sound
It showcases this band beautifully and demonstrates that, first and foremost, this was a real live performance band and not a hot-house orchid studio creation. If you enjoy Three Dog Night, treat yourself to this album. For those only casually acquainted with TDN and who are curious, this is a rewarding place to explore. Since it was recorded in 1973 (the band's reputed high point), a lot of their hits are missing since they hadn't been done yet. That's a good reason to also pick up the newly remastered hit singles cd. .


Long time Three Dog Night Fan
Their high energy performances and vocal harmonies really appealed to me and the circle of musicians I hung with. Ever since the very late sixties when I was a college vocal music major, I've been a fan of this group.
Three Dog Night had so many things going for it, from Chuck Negron's smooth tenor sound to Cory Well's soulful interpretations. Almost like the Righteous Brothers with turbo drive. What a sound these three singers had, and of course the band backing them up was superb. I went to one of their concerts in Tulsa in the early seventies and was not dissapointed in what I heard. One of few groups that sounded as good live as they did in the studio.
So, this live album is a welcome addition to my Three Dog Night collection. It takes me back to that Tulsa concert.

Great CD. . . . You get to re-live the live concert performances that made this group one of the best ever.


What a retro pleasure to listen to!
They are a group to be treasured as one of the most representative of a great era in music. I have always loved TDN and enjoyed their music. They are unique because of their blended voices and many hits still played today. .
