Classic late 70s rock
Their cover of Rocky Mountain Way was just as good, if not better, than any other version. By 79, Toronto power trio Triumph had more than established themselves as credible rivals to that other big local trio, Rush.

But with this LP, they really sealed it. Lay it on the line, in my view, belongs up there in the same patheon as Laila and other great rock anthems. The passion, and Levine's powerful drumming, drives it all home as much now as then.

Okay, Too Young to Cry may owe a lot to Led Zep but this is first class imitation. Was great to hear the title track again, (brings to mind such tracks as the Who's Success Story from By Numbers, thematically anyway. ) And Hold On is almost as great as Line. The closing track even showed a mellow side.

I think Game belongs with Dire Straits, Breakfast in America and Look Sharp among 79s classic albums.
