Big Fun
The amount of music, energy and joy these two have on stage is captured on every CD. Best Tracks: Day Care Blues, Teddy Bear's Picnic, Pico de Gallo

I've had the pleasure of listenging to Trout Fishing In America (TFIA) for nearly 20 years. Big Trouble is no exception.

This CD is an outgrowth of songs that TFIA had (in some cases) previously recorded on adult CDs, or were already performing in their shows. It made sense for them to record a kid's CD.

This albums features Keith (on bass) and Ezra (on guitar) playing kids music in adult-friendly ways. They don't pander to the kids, since chances are, the parents are having to listen as well.

This CD is just a lot of fun. Enjoy.

Even better as an Adult
My mother's a Second Grade Teacher, and her co-worker gave us this tape called Trout Fishing in America: Big Trouble, and she said that my brother (5), sister(3) and I (8), would absolutely LOVE IT! So my mom took the tape, picked us kids up, and put it into the tape player. . well her co-worker didn't get the tape back we LOVED IT! My favorite song was the Teddy Bear's Picnic because I would run around the room with my Teddy Bear, and sing the song. The Window song was our favorite too, and we would get in trouble at school for singing it because it wasn't nice! Great Times!

After we moved, we still had that tape, but as teenager-dom hit all three of us, the tape was lost forever! It wasn't until recently that my father started asking us about this one song Pico de Gallo and how much he loved it, and how it was the quintessential country song. That got me to looking, I'm 24 right now, and I found a friend who had the song When I was a Dinosaur, and to my surprise, I remembered all the words! It brought back memories of my parents taking us to New Mexico from Houston, Texas in our van and asking us what tape we wanted to hear, and us fighting over who wanted to listen to the tape on our new Walkmans. It was great!

So I go to the Internet, find out that Amazon had it, overnight delivered the album, and started enjoying it. Its amazing, that even now, so many years later, I would still be listening to this album enjoying the songs, and still acting like a kid! I gave the album to my boyfriend to listen to, and while he was Playing Metal Gear Solid 4, he was singing along, while this one other person on Player vs. Player, started singing along with him. Its just one of those albums that has the smart one liners for adults, and the wackiness that all kids need! My Nephew even loves the dinosaur song, and runs around ROAR-ing all over the house. By the way, its great cleaning music.

Great for Parents too!
It has witty, silly lyrics that are equaling pleasing to the parent as well as to the kids. This CD is perfect for the whole family. There is some clever word play that is good for young, developing minds too. .

Trout Fishing in America has wide appeal
When we got together, we played (her) "Big Trouble" and (our) "My Best Day". After hearing Trout Fishing in America at a concert in my home town, I decided to buy a CD for my husband and me and one for my 7-year-old granddaughter. I don't know who enjoyed it more--the children, the parents, or the grandparents. My granddaughter was soon singing along with "When I Was a Dinosaur" and other favorites on the CD which is not surprising when you consider how many times she listened to it during the weekend. Ezra Idlet and Keith Grimwood are wonderful musicians, clever song-writers, and just all-around great entertainers. Here's to many more years of their audience-pleasing CD's and personal appearances.

Big Trouble is great
We enjoy Big Trouble, we just have to listen to it more often to really get to know the songs. My favorite is still Family Party, but that's probably because I've had it for years--I bought it even before my son was born. We especially like the title song--that poor kid, in such big trouble because the monsters have wrecked his house!.
