ugly I recommend buying this album you definately won't regret!. I love everything with Issac all of his work is very interesting and different than most of the junk i hear.
Whole lotta just pretty good
. An even more modest approach with less bombastic, more grounded, but nearly as weird indie rock displaying a few lovable listens, couple of embarrassing enunciations, but mostly merely moderately mesmerizing music expertly navigating neither-here-nor-there trajectory.
Very good
It's kind of an experimental album that uses a variety of different sounds and themes. This is an interesting work by Isaac Brock. It's not my favorite work by Isaac, but it definitely has some superb songs on it.
original original original!!!!!
They ACTUALLY have meaning to their lyrics & they ACTUALLY play instruments, and they ACTUALLY do their own stunts and style. Isaac, Jeremiah & Joe are fu**in' genious! An admirer I am for all time with Modest F'in Mouse!!!! These men should be getting more credit than what they do. Loveyouguys!!! Bravo! BRAVOOO! --- Mrs. "Broch".
Absolutely love it
So Brock did something different rather than the same old same old that everyone is addicted to. What all the other reviewers dislike about this cd seems to be all the elements that make it special. It's a kinder gentler cd, acoustic, quieter, melancholy, poignant (surely an indie criminal offense) and OMIGOD subtle. Ingeniously creative instrumental playing here. This cd is relaxed not the usual Modest Mouse intense energy that we all love. I think it well may be a masterpiece in it's own right if such things exist in the indie genre. When a band does something different this well I really support them and I've listened to this cd about a thousand times so far and I haven't grown tired of it. I think it deserves classic status.
