What a disappointment!I love Uncle Kracker but this album is just plain bad . . maybe it's because he's going to far into the country arena for me but I just don't like it. We waited and waited for new music from him and this is what we get? Don't waste your money . . . .
poor quality
I purchased the cd for the song "Smile" and it skips in 2 places. i love the music, but the quality of the CD sucked.
Kracker doesn't disappoint with new album. 'Happy Hour' is amazing.
I don't agree with some people saying how he's "soldout" by going more country-rock than rap-rock like he had early on in his career. I've been an Uncle Kracker fan since he debuted back in 2000 with 'Double Wide' and I've been a fan ever since. Country-Rock suits him and i belive he's become more successful because of the transition. It seems like each of his albums have gotten better and better and that trend doesn't stop with 'Happy Hour', this is by far his best album to date. Every track is great, starting out with the first track (and first single) 'Smile' which is guaranteed to do exactly that. Probably the best song on the album is 'Livin' the Dream', although he could have done without the effects to his voice, the song is still amazing.
My favorite tracks on the album are 'Smile', 'My Girlfriend', 'Livin' the Dream', 'Me Again', 'Good to Be Me', and 'I Hate California'
In short, if you're a fan of Uncle Kracker you will most likely love this album, if you're just hearing him for the first time, i recommend starting with this CD.
Almost
In fact, I'd even say it's better. This is by far the best Uncle Kracker CD since "No Stranger to Shame".
My only one complaint is that he synthesized his voice on the track, "Livin' The Dream". Way to kill what would've otherwise been the best track on the CD. Instead, he made it the worst.
.
