I love the packaging which is extensive. Song selection like a hits 2xCD. It's funny though, when I'm playing the second disc I'm not feeling like it's the dud of the two. Course, one disc is mainly the first two albums while the second disc is mostly the later two slicker albums. Course, I like the better songs on the final two albums cuz I'm just a big UNDERTONES fan, even if they did go in an unexplicable direction in the second half of their career.
If you want what's essentially a hits set and don't want to spend the big bucks to get that 12xCD singles set which is obviously only for the fanatic, well this thing's for you. It's really everything you could ask for from the UNDERTONES without actually buying the original albums.
Course, then there's the question, if you have the albums should you buy this? In my case I have all the vinyl albums and most, ok, I think all of the singles (I'm actually missing a U. S. pressing of a 12". Had it in my hands at a used record store in the early 80's but said 'pish posh', didn't and have been wishing I'd bought it ever since but, heck, it's just a thing. )
If I'm a fan who already has the main 4 CD albums I'd not get this. If I have any less than all four I'd jump on this thing cuz, well, ok, I did despite having 2 of the CD's cuz I'm a massive UNDERTONES fan and couldn't resist and listen to this essentially, as I've mentioned, as an extensive hits package.
