Great album, not to full potential The songs are beautifully crafted, have great lyrical content, and just plain rock. This is a great album by unwritten law. Being a musician myself, i think i have found the problem on why Oz Factor may turn something off. The hi-hats are closed most of the time (hi-hats are a part of a drum set next to the snare), and it doesn't sound as energetic as when they are open. The more energetic the music is, the more we seem to like it. That is why so many of us like the Self Titled and Blue Room more than Oz Factor. Not all of the songs are great, but if you look at the album as a whole, it really is an amazing piece of work by Unwritten Law.
Oz Factor
Totally not the case with Oz. This album is so great you dont even understand! Most of the time a band has their best album with there first. From the start of SupermaN to the last track Legend Of Johnny and Sarh, you find yourself needing more! But please keep in mind this is not Elva! this is 100% pure UNWRITTEN LAW! The tracks to look out for are: Denied, Shallow, and. . . wait who am I kidding?? The whole album is great, it is a must have for any UL Fan!.
This is great stuff!
This album is packed with good songs, but there are a few weak songs. Although a lot of people don't like this album, I personally thought it was really good.
1:Superman-8/10-Good way to kick off the album.
2:Oz Factor-10/10-I absolutely love this song.
3:Suzanne-6/10-Not very good, too poppy for my liking.
4:Denied-7/10-Eh this one's ok, just mediocre.
5:Tell Me Why-10/10-This is one of my favorites on the CD.
6:Rejected-9/10-Another great song, one of my favorites.
7:Falling Down-10/10-My favorite on the album, by far.
8:Shallow-5/10-This song gets old real fast, and annoyingly it's on both Oz Factor and Blue Room. . .
9:Differences-6/10-Another mediocre song
10:Lame-10/10-I really like this song, one of my favorites.
11:Stop To Think-8/10-This song's pretty good, however it's a bit short.
12:Legend Of Johnny And Sarah-4/10-What a way to end the CD, sheesh.
Great songs, bad quality.
Great lyrics. This cd has really cool songs. Very melodic. "Shallow" is the strongest track on this ablum, in my opinion. My only gripe about this cd is the quality of the songs. It could have used better production. I know the lack of production earns them punk credibility, but a cleaner sound would have been great! I don't think this cd tops Unwritten Law's self titled, but it is still pretty awesome.
UL!
Their lyrics are phenomenal. UL is the best band I have come accross in a long time. I love the CD Elva, but it is so different from Oz Factor. The diversity of the music is great! keep on Rockin UL~ PEACE.
