on of my favorite albums, and i hated screaming in music before this guy
i was such a huge used fan when this album came out and i used to buy every album they put out afterwards. definitely an awesome album. unfortunately they have lost their edge since the first album, each album after slowly going further into the abyss. however this album is just spectacular. before this and even after i never liked screaming, screamo, emo, whatever people use for the types of indie music effects that burt is actually able to pull off miraculously as an artist, due to both his incredible voice and overwhelming, violent, and sometimes putrid energy. i don't see how everyone that likes music cannot own this album.


Not Your Average Emo Album
This is a killer album and probably their best release . I cant say I'm a big fan of the emo genre, but this band really doesnt deserve to be put under that tag.


Im shocked.
Using the word rock and this garbage pop band in the one sentance is discraceful. To the braindead reviewer who said "one of the best rock albums of the year easily" too bad The used are pop.


If you want to feel alive...these guys give you that emotion.
This album has inspired me to become the person I am today ever since I first heard Buried Myself Alive in early 2003! I mean, the Taste of Ink is a great song, but if you want to hear True used music, Buried Myself Alive captures the whole tone of this album. There has never been such an emotional, hard-rock, ear splitting record in my lifetime.
Say Days Ago and Pieces Mended are the hard hitting, perfectly sung songs that are heaven to your ears. If I could somehow find a way to make this album heard again on the radio I would=] Think about it. . what are your favorite songs? Each song inspires to step back and realize life is precious. The lyrics can grip you and help you feel the emotion that you have bottled up inside.
I will always remember these guys when they played together as one. Straight out of Orem, Utah, The Used were destined for stardom from this first release, and sure enough they went on to headline tours across the U. S. and to other parts of the world. To Quinn, Jeph, Branden, and Bert: You have put together a masterpiece which will always keep me surviving when times are rough. This album Kicks. . A**.

cd purchase
it was in pretty good shape other than a broken case. I was very satisfied with my purchase of "The Used" on compact disc. The cd plays well and was delivered to my within a couple of days. Overall i am very happy with my descision to purchase a previously owned cd thru Amazon. com.
