Van Halen - Live: Right Here, Right Now Audio CD

VH in Fresno Maybe this one has it share of fixes but it sound great. Probably all live albums get fixed later in the mix. The drum solo could have been either edited or worked on more - sound-wise, and the bass solo is a bit boring and so is the guitar solo. Eddie plays great, but he ends up playing the same, predictable guitar solo as he has been doing so for the last 20 years. . . The singing is GREAT. The songs are great. Sammy's versions of Jump and Panama are as good if not better than the originals.
If you like VH then go out and get this record AND the DVD too.
Not the best Van Halen
I thought I would be hearing more of the older Van Halen done with Diamond Dave. I know some people will disagree, but I did not care for this album. There is a good Who cover of "Won't get fooled again" but, overall I would recommend not buying the album.
How do I know when it's love?
Monsters everywhere. Sure enough, they shoulda this & that, whatcha expect, each tour had more songs but each year Eddie was further down the bottle. What if, whatever, my only gripe is the plastic JC on the lawn shoulda been the obelisk off LZ's Presence. At least that's what Frank Zappa whispered in my ear the night before he died.
Now, then, here's the (emotionally extravagant) part of my review everyone's been waiting for!
I spent 10 miserable years settling for half a wife, and I'll be damned if I come outta that settling for even 10 minutes of half a gurlfriend. Kissless, a whole decade, like Snow White, I was waiting for (the) one that was gonna make some meaning of everything. I'm waiting for someone to come into focus and teach me my final love lesson. Aren't you?
All, or nothing at all. .
Van Halen - 'Live: Right Here, Right Now' (Warner Bros.)
This live 2-CD catalog title by the almighty powerful Van {wailing} Halen is simply too 'routine' for me. Review # 48. Not that it's a bad offering of their live performances. It just gets old fast. Tunes like "Poundcake", the uplifting "Ain't Talking About Love", "Dreams", "Why Can't This Be Love?", "Best Of Both Worlds", their Who cover "Won't Get Fooled Again" and the WAY over-played "Jump" are always good to hear but perhaps I've heard a few too many bootlegs of theirs to get all tanked up about this legit release. I honestly believe that female fans just might possibly get more out of 'Live: Right Here, Right' than their male companions.
