Classic Vangelis
Sooooooooo, happy to have this CD again!. This replaced an older CD that became scratched.

An excellent introduction to Vangelis' later work
There are far more memorable melodies than the average V record and that lifts this above the albums these tunes come from, though all are solid in their own right. Although this is a best of, the intelligent connection of the pieces gives it the feel of an extremely wide-ranging symphony of sounds and emotions.
This would be a complete revelation for someone who'd never heard the music of Vangelis, especially the less adventurous listeners who might find his 70s synth work too weird. There's just a whole lot of lush harmony and cinematic melody here, and even those who have become sonically jaded will find much sweetness within.
Absolutely heavenly on a great stereo or headphones; especially magnificent while driving through the Rockies or any other massive landscape.

The best of the best
I thought, "I'll try it. Vangelis Reprise is exactly what I didn't expect; I had never heard of Vangelis when I bought the CD several years ago. " It is my favorite CD, and because either I misplaced it or someone took it, I am buying it again.

I cannot imagine not having this CD at my disposal any longer! It is so moving and provocative, whether as background music or for your most intense listening pleasure. It is both inspirational and emotionally-compelling. There is a reason for its existence. Anyone that does not have an appreciation for its immense artistic value may not have reached that level of humanity which encompasses the tonal influences of this incredible author of sound.

If you like Vangelis - you will like this cd
I really like Vangelis and if you do I think you will be very happy with this cd. I was very pleased with this cd recording. .

Boring Garbage

After listening to this album, I don't know what the others are talking about. Bought this CD because of all the good reviews it had on Amazon. The songs have no melody, it is just a bunch of noises throw together. Vangelis has a few good songs (none on this album), but what's the point if you have to sit through 15 bad songs for 1 half decent song. Don't buy this unless you are a diehard Vangelis fan.
IMHO.
