Great Stevie RayEven though it has all been done before it is great to have these smooth blues tunes all on one disk.
Not "one of".... "THE" greatest electric guitarist.... EVER.
I love listening to any music which is performed with genuine love and passion. I am not an eloquent music critic, and can't make intelligent comparisons to others, so I won't bother naming any of my many "favourites". I am a sometime bass player and performer of moderate talent, and so, I listen to music with a musician's ear and heart. Even in Stevie Ray Vaughan's darkest depths of despair, it all fell away when he picked up his guitar and put his mouth to the microphone. Take the time to eliminate all distractions, turn the lights low, put on this cd, turn it up as loud as you dare (without distortion), sit back and get comfortable, close your eyes, and for once, listen with your heart and soul, not just your ears. I sincerely hope you will feel what I feel when I do this, everything from despair and desolation, to utter joy, hope, and belief in the human race as a viable organism. Peerless.
Rare, Blus at sunrise...
Another great guitar player, gone too soon. One of finest SRV CD's including the title track. .
Driveing Blues
Take a Long ride in the Sierra Mountains and it will heal you. Great Rocking Blues.
Should be 10 Stars
Every time I open my cabinet to listen to a CD, I cannot keep my hands off this album. This is absolutely the best compilation of slow-tempo guitar-godlike blues I have ever heard. If you like the blues and love to be blown away by amazing guitar playing and great songs, buy this album. This album is an abolute GOLD MINE of amazing tunes. It is easily my favorite SRV album. Don't even think about not buying this if you are a blues fan. You will be missing the greatest soulful, **s-kicking music SRV ever played. Treat yourself. . . buy this album and enjoy!.
