Easy decision If you are even considering it, it is worth every penny of the full price. I've owned this album for years. The temporary $2 price is a steal. Waste no more time, buy this classic.
Killer Licks
If you're the former, you will get no better SRV blues than on this CD. Two types of SRV fans: blues lovers and classic rockers. If you're the latter, get In Step.
Stellar Set
Usually these so called jam sessions end up as a letdown, but not here. How cool it must have been for SRV to sit down and play with his hero and key influence, Albert King. Blues at Sunrise is a 15 minute tour de force and T-Bone had nothing on this take of Stormy Monday. Every other song is equally impressive, including Stevie's own Pride and Joy. Sound is excellent.
An absolute treasure
. Buy this and as you listen to these two artists, you will realize how lucky we are that this "session" was recorded so that we can enjoy such mastery over and over again.
no talk just music please
Tracks 2,5,7,10 should have been omitted from this album because they are just talk. Great music but the talking breaks the spell. Four stars because of talking.
