Customer Review A Great 80's CD Full of Rare Gems It contains lots of rare 80's gems. It is too bad this CD is out of print. If you can find it used, it is well worth the money. I have owned this CD since it was first released back in the early 90's, and have listened to it many, many times. Here are my track by track thoughts: "At This Moment" by Billy Vera & the Beaters - this song went to #1 in 1987 due to use on the tv show "Family Ties" - it seemed awesome then, though it has not aged that well, but for those of you looking for it, this is a good place to get it without having to buy an entire Billy Vera album. "Seasons Change" by Expose' - this song went to #1 in 1988, not my favorite Expose' song, but not bad either. "Captain of Her Heart" by Double - #16 in 1986. This was one of my reasons for buying this CD. A great one-hit wonder from an act that combined 2 of the 80's music trends: male pop duo (i. e. Wham!, Pet Shop Boys, etc) and euro-pop-jazz (i. e. Sade, Swing Out Sister, etc. ) "Thinking of You" by Sa-Fire - #12 in 1989. Another reason for buying this CD. Although she had other Hot 100 hits, this was her only Top 40 hit. "Make me Lose Control" by Eric Carment - #3 in 1988. A great song to listen and sing along to while driving in your car. "When I'm With You" by Sheriff - #1 in 1989. One of my all-time favorite 80's ballads. "Walk on By" by Melissa Manchester. This song did not make the Hot 100, but it got a lot of airplay on AC stations back in 1989. A great song that deserved to do better on the charts and is not available on any of Melissa's Greatest Hits packages. "I Remember Holding You" by Boys Club - #8 in 1989. Another one-hit wonder Wham! clone (Times Two, Charles & Eddie, etc. ), but not a bad song and a great way to get this song on CD. "Just as I Am" by Air Supply - #19 in 1985. Not the best Air Supply song, but their last appearance in the Top 40. "St Elmo's Fire (Man in Motion)" by John Parr - #1 in 1985. If you can find this out of print CD, it will save you having to buy the "St. Elmo's Fire" soundtrack. All in all, a great CD to put in your car stereo and remember the 80's. The liner notes are not the best, but these are all original recordings by the original artists. . .
