I agree with "Pop with teeth" But the although the songs are "pop" per se, they defintely have a bite. Couldn't have said it better myself! When I first got this album years ago, I was expecting something very Britney or Mandy Moore-ish. My favorites are "Turn me on", "Me, myself and I" and "I got you. " The song writing is very clever. I enjoyed this much more than her second album, which was a disapointment.
WOW!!! Wonderful voice and songs!!!!
WOW!!! Vitamin C (Colleen Ann Fitzpatrick) has a wonderful voice!!! In her first album all songs are cool and fantastic!!!
My favourite songs are "Turn Me on", "Me, Myself And I" (this is an album version but I like the single version, as the video, too!!!), "Graduation (Friends Forever)" (it's composed from two parts and the song is beautiful but little long and monotonous. . ^_^), but especially I love the song "I GOT YOU". . . WOW. . . she has a fantastic voice and the chorus is very amazing!!!
I suggest you to listen her!!!.
The girl from Hairspray.
Vitamin C's real name is Colleen Fitzpatrick, she used to be an actress and had her own band, Eve's Plum. Vitamin C was a decent debut album for this unusual pop artist. This album came out when female pop singers ruled the summer in 1999. She's definitely not a Britney but I feel Vitamin C had somewhat of identity crisis and that's why this album never really broke any new ground. There are lot of tracks on the cd that just don't work, the pop hooks and her vocal delivery lack energy. The song she is mostly remembered for is Graduation, the best song on the album by the way. Smile and Me Myself and I were moderate hits but too bad Happy Anniversary was never released, such a under-rated gem. Ok album but after 10 years later, the novelty has worn off.
Excentrique!
She's still an artist that's original and quirky though. This is not the best album ever, Lets just let record show. What I dislike about VC is she has the attitude, the spunk & the character to turn the Pop/Dance scene out, She just never seems to push her limit. She has so many options but they're not being taking into consideration. She should do an album similar to Madonna's "Confessions On A Dancefloor" just a pure dance album of club music. I can even hear her doing something like Donita Sparks "Transmiticate", VC could really blow it out, She has an exotic appeal and she's spunky, She's so versitile and nothings being done with it. Alot of the songs on this album fall flat as a pancake. Like I said in my last review on her sophomore album (More), It's not "VC" at all, It's the songs that need repair, She needs the right producers. "I'm Not That Kind Of Girl" "Unhappy Anniversary" "Turn Me On" & "Me, Myself & I" are the highlights of the album. "Smile" "Me, Myself & I" & "Friends Forever" are the three singles. I really hope Colleen pulls it together, She's awsome. I would hate for her to fade away.

Pop with teeth
Not all great, but worth the buy. This ex-punker (Eve's Plum) may have gone pop and stopped yelling, but her musical talent makes this chameleon of an artist worth listening to, and buying.
