Like a pitbull on a poodle!
Why? Listen to this disc, and you'll hear why. Letting this guy out on society in his early twenties was a gutsy move by the labels. Loudon was a very emotional, passionate, angry, funny, and brutally honest young man. In other words, he was what most of society wanted to express but didn't. His thoughts, and delivery were not always pleasant listening experiences, but they were (and still are) always interesting. This early, all-acoustic live disc is a dark, and funny venture that can be unsettling for some folks, but it's a beauty. Loudon's gotten better with age, but his emotions, and honesty have stayed intact in the music over the years. He's one dude who has given us a first-hand look at his growth, and it's still not always pretty, but it sure is honest, and often hilarious. You gotta love this guy.

Happy to find it on CD
I've had it on vinyl for about 20 years, (since before I got my first CD player. I didn't realize this was available on CD. ) I absolutely love this album! It's probably not for everyone, but what real art is? If you're already familiar with Loudon, but haven't heard this, you really have to get it. If you're not familiar with him, I recommend this one to anyone who appreciates funny, very personal, and extremely well-performed folk music. This is a real gem.

It's good
It started a few weeks ago when I was trying to remember a song that I used to play in college. Whenever I come into my local record store, they are starting to know me as the guy who keeps special ording the Loudon albums. Well I bought Unrequited thinking that it was on that, and WOW I had forgotten what a great album that was, then I bought Attempted, and WOW, I had forgotten what a great album that was. I just got this and if you are a Loudon fan--just get it, that's all--it's good, really really good.
