leaves off where Warrant should have left off This best of shows how good Warrant used to be before Jani went Jacko Wacko and became a drunk. The only good songs from the first two albums are here. Unfortunately, two songs from the awful Dog Eat Dog album are two too many. Why not put that Jane's Addiction rip off song they got sued over instead? And just why do we need to hear Warrant screw up a Queen song? At least they spared us the ultra awful ultraphobic and the other grunge lite crap.
Warrant
Great vocals and guitar work from a top band. Some of the best 80's rock.
So So 80's Pop Metal
It is still a part of my collection however. As a child of the 80's I loved the singles "Heaven", "Cherry Pie", & "Uncle Tom's Cabin" but the rest is flotsam.
Warrant, simply the best.
Jani Lane and the boys are simply fantastic. This album is all of Warrant's very best tracks. The songs on this album bring you back to the 80s, to when music was good and the videos were great. Heaven is and always will be the best Warrant song and how can you forget Jani's flirty eyes on the video??!! And Cherry Pie, with the unmistakable guitar screechin of CC Deville, as he guested on that track. .
The only way to discribe this album is, in the words of Jani himself, "heaven isn't too far away".
Only thing I would love to see, would be for Warrant to release their video hits, wow, it will be worth waiting for.
What a cool band
Great rockin' CD. . . I would have liked more Dog Eat Dog material, actually they could have put the whole CD of Dog Eat Dog as a bonus second disc and this would have been the greatest collection release ever by a band from the genre.
You need to check out Fozzy All That Remains Reloaded for that Dog Eat Dog feel. . . that cd really is what spawned the sound of Daughtry, etc. . . All That Remains Reloaded (W/Dvd).
