Customer Review
You Can't Lose
Seven albums, a pile of EPs and an almost non-stop touring schedule. Weddings Parties Anything were, for 15 years, one of the hardest working Australian bands around.

When they announced their break-up in 1998, Trophy Night was released, capturing 19 of the best songs they'd done, and there ain't a band on the planet that shouldn't be proud to put together a best of like this. Two of the tracks, "Anthem" and "Traffic Goes By", are original to this album. Standout tracks for me include "Away Away", "Under the Clocks", "Step In Step Out" and "For A Short Time".

WPA never had a number one single, but probably their two highest charting songs "Monday's Experts" and "Father's Day" are also available here, as is their version of The Triffids' "Wide Open Road", previously only available on a self-released album.

Why should you own this album? To put it simply, there never was an Australian band to so brilliantly fuse pub rock and folk, who captured the heart and soul of Australia in their music.

They may be gone, but they'll never be forgotten.
