Customer Reviews Weeping Tile's sweet debut Every track is solid, from the slow melancholy of "Dogs and Thunder" to the *very* haunting vocals of "Westray". Weeping Tile's first EP (called "eepee" -- clever, no?) is an excellent introduction to the band (or, y'know, an addition to your collection). Fans of Sarah Harmer's solo work will want to check out the original version of "Basement Apt. ", which is less poppy than the later recording, but an interesting arrangement nonetheless. WT's cover of Neil Young's "Don't Let it Drag You Down" is reason enough to buy this CD -- their version gives a new beat to the original. All in all, a smashing record and an excellent buy. Check 'er out. Nice debut album Sarah Harmer's voice is a bit raspy at times, but this seems to suit the style of the band. This wasn't bad for a first release, but there are only seven songs. I'm giving this 4 of 5 stars because it IS a nice cd, with good instrumentals. Better versions of Basement Apartment and Westray can be found on later releases, so unless you are really desperate for those 5 songs, you may want to skip this cd in favour of the band's other cds.
