Pricey.....but....
I think that Christmas Celebration is way better. I had to write this review just because the other people who reviewed it said that The Christmas Song is better than the song Christmas Celebration found on this single. The Christmas Song in my opinion is depressing mediocre song at best. Christmas Celebration is more of what Weezer is all about to me from a stylistic point of view. It's much more upbeat and it's one of my personal Weezer rarity favorites, you can't top You Gave Your Love To Me Softly though.

Ok, chances are if you reading this you already own the Green Album and have heard the song Photograph. This is a pricey little single but if you want an original copy of Christmas Celebration, this is almost the cheapest way to get a copy. The original promo that contained both of Weezer's Christmas songs is long out of print and auctions for as much as $50 or more. It is also included on an Import version of the Green Album which is considerably more expensive than this single. The bottom line is, how big of a =W= fan are you???.


Uneccesary, unless you want the artwork...
'Christmas Celebration' was available for free download from the band's website, and 'Photograph' is an album track, so the only thing you're paying for is the artwork. Seeing that this 2 track import costs more than the green album, this is for weezer collectors only.

That being said, 'Photograph' is one of my three favorite songs from the green album, and 'Christmas Celebration' is a decent B-Side but not (IMHO) as good as 'The Christmas Song' It's more up-tempo, similar to tracks 5-9 on the green album.

Photograph + Christmas Celebration CD Single
Rather than "Hash Pipe", this was the first single released over in Japan. If you are reading this review, then you are probably already familiar with the song "Photograph" from the Green Album. In addition to "Photograph", this cd also contains the b-side "Christmas Celebration", which is also a good song but not as good as "the Christmas Song", another Weezer song written in the same vein. But anyways, I would really only recommend this cd to the true die-hard Weezer fan. It's not worth spending the money that a full cd would cost for just one extra song. But then again, it's Weezer so take that for what's it worth!.
