Makes Excellent Gift
I gave it to my freind who turned 29. This CD Double makes an excellent gift. He liked it a lot. It is a great in sight into Weezer.

A bit pricey but fantastic
Every song on here is fantastic. As most of you know weezer's first album is amazing. But the deluxe edition is a bit different it has the original album plus a bonus disc full of live tracks kitchen tapes and b-sides. If you are a hardcore weezer fan such as myself you are absolutely eat this up if not pick up the original album. This album is a bit pricey so make sure your a big weezer fan if you pick this up .

An Essential 90s Album
When this album came out it was very different considering that most of the albums of the popular rock bands were Nirvana/Pearl Jam clones in the mid 90s. Great classic 90s album that inspired many other artists. Fun lyrics and each track is very enjoyable.

Get this Deluxe Edition. It is remastered and contains a Bonus Disk with b-sides and songs recorded during the same session but were ultimately rejected when originally released. Though some of the demo and live tracks to me are a little annoying but the studio tracks are fun to listen to and compliment the original album very well.

Greatest Rock Pop Album of This Generation

Buy this masterpiece now. If you read my title, then you will know I have nothing left to say.

Poppy & Universal and Forever Geeky
The songs were ever-so catchy, but had hooky riffs and a simplicity, along with goofy lyrics molded into each song, making them clever and moving. Weezer released this debut album (later referred to as the Blue Album) and indie/alternative rock fans fell in love. Lyrics like -- I want a girl who will laugh for no one else, when I'm away she puts her makeup on the shelf, when I'm away she never leaves the house -- show how geeky love inspired singer River Cuomo feels in his insecure self-doubted way through-out the whole album.

The dorky charm is what makes this album great. It's poppy and universal, but in it's own un-hip cool alternative way. They became one of the biggest alternative bands of the '90's. The song "Buddy Holly" is not only catchy but interesting and entertaining. You can't help but sing along to the chorus. The video even makes a rendition of a Happy Days set-black & white and forever geeky.
